Wow-moments

Metallica, 2018

The hard rock giants broke the audience record - for the third time. Just two days after Metallica took back the audience record, the band broke their own record when 17,303 fans came to the second gig of their "Worldwired tour".

Tre Kronor, World Cup 2013

Hockey history was written when the gold heroes lifted the trophy in front of a home crowd in euphoria - as the first country to win the World Cup on home ground since 1986.

Nelson Mandela, 1990

Ericsson Globe had existed for around a year when one of the greatest freedom fighters in history gave a speech in the arena. Nelson Mandela had been a free man for a month and Sweden became the first country outside Africa he visited.

Whitney Houston

A superstar, a legend, an icon. Whitney Houston has brought joy to millions of fans around the world - not least during the two packed concerts in Ericsson Globe in 1999 and 2009.

Mia Skäringer, 2019

She can be proud of the largest number of sold shows for one touring production in the arena. With the performance "Avig Maria - No More Fucks To Give", Mia Skäringer sold out Ericsson Globe 6 (!) times.

"Bengan Boys", European Cup 2002

Germany led with 26-25 with 103 seconds left in the European Championship final in handball. Sweden turned and received the noble gold medal during ovation-like tributes for the third time in a row.
